Placeholder text is useful for structure, not meaning
Lorem ipsum helps teams review spacing, hierarchy and block density before the real copy is available. It keeps attention on the layout rather than on unfinished wording.
That makes it especially useful during wireframing, early UI work and fast prototype reviews.
Replace it as early as possible
Placeholder text should disappear once the product or page starts moving toward production. Keeping it too long can hide tone, readability and SEO issues.
A generator is helpful for drafts, but real copy should arrive as soon as the structure is validated.
